How To Write A Catchy Blog That Creates BuZZ!

Filed in Blogging for business 1 comments

….One thing abbloggingout us is that we like to be entertained. So in the world of showbiz  some cleverclogs just seem to get it right and just happen to keep us talking!  ( no names mentioned). They create a brand for themselves and look for a way to stand out. There are always those D-list entertainers that arrive at the events and somehow the bouncer at the door doesnt know who they are… and then the pathetic ‘dont you know who I am?’ catchphrase is desperatly thrown in as a last resort.

Magnus the blogger: ‘…I know so much about SEO...but no one reads my blogs! help!

1.You Basically Want To Write About What People Are Interested In

Relevance is the key, use keyword research to find out what people are looking for, some topics generate a lot of interest, there may things that users need some clarity on and need some help with. Why not help them out? Of course that being said, it is good to be able to relate with your audience in an engaging way.

2.Give It The Personal Touch

Everyone can write a blog but not everyone  can write in a way that people will relate to their content. Sharing  personal experiences make much more engaging and builds a connection with the audience. You can vary your writing style from formal to informal as an when necessary.

3.Use Lists And Bulleting

Writing using bulleting and lists guides the audience through your content in an organised manner and keeps the focus on what you are talking about.

4.Avoid The Copy And Paste Syndrome

Oh yes!… For those of  you who do, Dont worry, I wont make you confess to your deeds. Sometimes it is possible to take ideas for content from other similar blogs but its best to give your own twist to it.

5. Avoid The long And Boring Content

…or else the bounce rate will be all you are increasing. Be good at what you do, if your blog involves research make sure you get the main points without drowning the audience, repeat after me,..’precise but consise‘!. Time is a scarce commodity and people dont want to sit reading for ages at a time. Its all about getting the right balance!

As well as writing good blogs for your business do not forget to use an effective search engine marketing strategy Such as key word rich and backling ( btw not key word stuffing..but you already know that….) hand in hand with your efforts.
